In Depths of Elora

In this game, you take on the role of Pixo. Navigate platforms, jump, double-jump, and dash. Your goal is to collect enough golden keys to advance to the subsequent level. While some keys are scattered throughout the level, others are held by monsters. You'll need to defeat these creatures to claim their keys, utilizing only the environment to do so.

Just as we were about to cease development, we began introducing a novel core mechanic. Pixo had the ability to tap into his magical sight, allowing him to engage with the planet's enchanted realm. Some objects or projectiles existed solely in this magical dimension, while others were part of the physical world. Additionally, Pixo had the capability to dash into monsters when using his magical sight, temporarily copying their souls to harness their abilities. This feature is only partially implemented — you can try it by pressing the "F" button and dashing into the worm-like creature. Unfortunately, we never fully realized this design element.

The game has 2 levels in this version.

I worked on this project between 2018 and 2019. Fast forward to 2023, and I'm only now choosing to share this game. I hesitated because the game remains unfinished and, by many standards, isn't particularly polished. Looking back, I recognize numerous mistakes we made, resulting in a game that's barely playable. However, despite all its flaws, I believe it deserves its spot in my portfolio, which is why I've decided to create an itch.io page for it, after all this time. ~Era Soren
